One of the most popular activities at the beach is clam digging. Please check the razor clam seasons before you head out to ensure you can dig during your visit. Each beach may have different rules for driving your vehicle and beach fires, so please make sure you are familiar with local rules and regulations.
Griffiths-Priday State Park is one of the closest beach access points to our resort, just two miles north. The park offers ocean and river access with a sandy beach to view wildlife, fish, beachcomb, and dig for clams.
Access Ocean City State Park, just four miles from Surfcrest, and spend an afternoon exploring the beach. This park is a popular spot for razor clamming and camping, but you can also enjoy birdwatching, shellfishing, surfing, horseback riding, fishing, kite flying, and storm watching.
Travel to the edge of Ocean Shores and head to North Jetty for a fantastic vantage point during the winter storm season. Walk along the rugged shores and enjoy views of the Pacific Coastline while beachcombing and wildlife-watching.
Traveling 10 miles north from Surfcrest, you can visit Pacific Beach State Park. The beach here is sandy and exposed, creating ideal conditions for kite flying. You can also razor clam here, watch for birds, and storm watch.
In the town of Pacific Beach, Roosevelt Beach is a quiet, uncrowded beach surrounded by cliffs and woods. This is a popular spot to see wildlife, sightsee, and clam dig.
